Day 52

A box of latino love arrived today - botijo olives from a family farm in Peru, acai powder from Columbia and maca from Peru (Aztec superfoods to add to my green smoothie every morning), agave syrup and raw chili chocolate. I was in seminars all day today which was wonderfully inspiring - many news ideas and new opportunities, but also an abundance of food that I mostly could not eat. So this evening I indulged in the fiery chilli chocolate this evening over a pot of freshly brewed dandelion tea. I am looking forward trying the Acai - I have heard alot about it over the past twelve months mostly in the context of weight loss but have learnt that it is also packed with antioxidants. The acai that Loving Earth import is wild harvested from plams growing in the coastal estuaries of Columbia by the Tumas, an indigenous minority group whose diet is 40% acai. By supporting Loving Earth we can access premium quality organic staples and contribute to providing a viable income to these communities which for me is a big win!
