Day 32

I fell in love with mint when I first started eating fresh Vietnamese spring rolls. We were dining at a cool little Viet eatery in the Valley with our Thai/Aussie friend Savaen (isn't it wonderful having friends who introduce you to new tastes & experiences). So a couple of days ago when a post popped up on F from a local gent offering to share his abundance of fresh mint, myself and others were most appreciative of his gesture to drop a few sprigs off at Province in the high street (oh you really must visit Naomi and her French provincial inspired boutique with it's vases overflowing with fresh flowers, lavender spilling over the edges of little wooden wagons parked on the footpath and baskets of fresh produce, not to mention what's inside....). Anyway my little mint is still in its infancy - a cutting was sent home with me after visiting new friends for a morning cycle & brunch. Alas my day has run off on me and I forgot the mint...perhaps tomorrow there will be one left so I can make raw spring rolls for Sunday's raw food picnic at Kholo - fingers crossed .....
