Day 50

Wow halfway and life is very, very good! Tonight I had something different raw oysters with lemon and cracked pepper and himalayan salt followed by a fresh fig - yum! The day has been fab - my 'chaffeur' picked me up promptly at 6:30am and off we went to the 2012 Ipswich Mayoral  Breakfast hosted by Ipswich Awakening. Despite being surrounded by danish, sausages, bacon and eggs & all the trimmings, I have to say I was so busy flitting about the room catching up with friends and associates that I hardly noticed the food. I'd already had my happy shake and managed to get an extra plate of fruit and didn't feel at all like I was missing out. In fact quite the opposite, when I reflect on what I actually protected my body from I feel excited that I've been able to progress to this new level of practice and thinking. Some might say 'well you paid for a ticket' but I felt I had so much value from the morning, Peter Irvine, co-founder of Gloria Jean's was an engaging speaker with an incredible story and I soaked up every morsel of what he said. When our mind, body and soul are engaged in the pursuit of our dreams, that process can provide a sustenance that goes far beyond the physical. Perhaps that is why people are overeating so much these days they know something is missing yet instead of awakening their true purpose spend their evenings watching TV or aimlessly surfing the internet. We weren't born to consume, we were born to create and reach our full potential in life to give the gift that resides within each one of us, sometimes we have push ourselves, in spite of our fears, to start taking that journey....is it time to take a little step of faith?

  1. Love it Caroline - slowly more raw food and an awareness of non waste is creeping into our daily lives here. Our basil is waiting to be harvested and turned into pesto.... will let you know how it goes!
